Homemade Salsa Recipes

This homemade salsa recipe makes 1 1/2 quarts and will add a zesty homemade salsa flavor to any meal.
  • 10 Roma tomatoes, seeded, small dice (2 cups)
  • 1 small red onion, small dice (1 cup)
  • 2 to 3 small green onions, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 medium jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped (2 tablespoons),
  • 6 Serrano chili peppers, seeded and finely chopped (1/2 cup),
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro (loosely packed)
  • 3 large cloves garlic, crushed and minced (1 tablespoon)
  • 15 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 4 teaspoons Chile Powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Homemade Salsa Recipe Directions

Prepare all vegetables above and place in a medium size bowl, gently stirring as each addition is made. Add tomato sauce, Olde Westport Border Bandito's Salsa Spice Blend, salt (to taste) and lime juice. Stir mixture carefully to avoid breaking up the tomatoes. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving allowing flavors to blend. Enjoy this homemade salsa recipe!!
