Vietnamese Grilled Tilapia Recipes

  • 2 lb. whole tilapia
  • 1-1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. coconut milk

Vietnamese Grilled Tilapia Recipe Directions:
Add boiling water and coconut milk to a blender and mix for at least a minute. Strain the blended mixture through a sieve or cheesecloth. Add chopped garlic. Marinate the fish for 2 hours in the coconut mixture.

Grill the tilapia for about 4 minutes on one side. When brown, turn it over and grill the other side for about 3 more minutes. Serve with dipping sauce.

Stewed Tilapia Recipe

Tilapia Stew

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1-14.5 oz. can Italian style diced tomatoes
  • 3 large cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup clam juice
  • 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup diced zucchini
  • 1 pound tilapia fillets, cut in 8 pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves

Stewed Tilapia Recipes

Heat oil in a large, non-stick skillet. Saute onion and garlic over medium high heat for 3 minutes, until just starting to soften. Add bell pepper, zucchini, thyme, salt and pepper. Saute 3 minutes longer. Add tomatoes with their juice, clam juice and wine. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add fish fillets and simmer 3-5 minutes until fish is cooked through. Serve in shallow soup bowls with crusty bread. Serve this great stewed tilapia recipe!

Simple Tilapia Recipe


  • 4 5-7 oz. fresh Tilapia fillets
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 Tbls. olive oil
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 Tbls. capers, drained
  • 2 1/2 Tbls. butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbls. Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbls. lemon juice

Simple Tilapia Recipe Directions:

Seed and dice the tomatoes. In a hot frying pan, heat 1/2 Tbls. of the butter. Add the diced tomatoes, capers, Worchestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cook on low heat quickly for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in remaining 2 Tbls. of butter and set aside.
Salt and pepper the tilapia fillets. Heat a frying pan; then add the oil. When oil is hot, add the fillets and brown on both sides, turning only once. This will take about 3 minutes per side. Remove to a plate and spoon the tomato sauce over the fillets. Serve and enjoy this simple tilapia recipe!

Grilled Tilapia Recipe

Grilled Tilapia Recipes
This is an easy fish taco using grilled tilapia recipe.
  • 2 lbs. fresh Tilapia fillets
  • olive oil
  • flour tortilla
  • sshredded cabbage
  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • fresh lime wedges

Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup fresh, chopped cilantro
  • 2 jalapenos -- seeded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tsp. fresh lime juice

Grilled Tilapia Recipe Directions

Into a food processor, add cilantro and jalapenos, process until coarsely chopped and mixed together. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, avocado and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Keep this sauce refrigerated until needed.
Brush tilapia fillets with olive oil and grill over medium heat for 2-4 minutes per side, until cooked through.
Heat tortillas on grill and spread 2 Tbls. of sauce on each warm tortilla.
Place 1/2 of a fillet in center of each tortilla, add shredded cabbage, fold tortilla and top with salsa and sour cream. Garnish grilled tilapia with fresh lime wedges. Serve and enjoy this grilled tilapia recipe!
